Home Tiny House - Community First Village Austin, TX
Matt Risinger and his team joined 22 builders who donated their labor to build Tiny Houses in this village outside Austin, TX. Mobile Loaves & Fishes recruited young architects to design the tiny homes and then local builders to provide the labor to bring these homes to life. Ultimately, the building community joined together to fight homelessness in their community. One thing you'll notice is that the designs are focused on porches and outdoor space. The goal was to harken back to a time when community was formed on your front porch. All the materials were supplied by McCoys Building Supply. This generous family owned company was a huge supporter of the Community First Village. You'll also notice some other of Risinger's favorite products, such as Dupont Tyvek.Check out this video to see the Community First Village come to life.
