In a previous video, Master Builders Matt Risinger and Jordan Smith discovered that PEX fittings are pretty stout. In this video, they set out to determine exactly how many PSI will cause PEX walls to fail. While they're at it, they re-test Uponor, Viega, and Sharkbite fittings. As you'll see, they evaluate multiple pipe and fitting combinations with a hydro test. The only fitting to actually fail is the Sharkbite push connect fitting. All other fittings withstand up to 1050 PSI. Like with the hydraulic test, the pipes fail long before almost all of the fittings.
